A Trip to Nepal From Bettiah Bihar

Dear Friends, once more I welcome
you all on my blogger page.
Today I will take you on a pleasant
trip to Nepal from my hometown, Bettiah, Bihar.
Recently, we planned a memorable journey to Nepal.
What started as a simple trip soon turned into an
unforgettable adventure filled with simple routes,
spiritual experiences, and joyful exploration.
Here is the story of our journey.

Beginning the Journey from Bettiah

Our trip officially began at the Bettiah Bus Stand, which we had already decided as the starting point of our journey. Early in the morning, at 6:00 AM, we boarded a bus heading toward Raxaul, a town located near the India–Nepal border.

The journey from Bettiah to Raxaul was comfortable and happier. As the bus moved through towns and villages of Bihar, we enjoyed the changing scenery outside the window. After traveling for several hours, we finally reached Raxaul at 11:37 AM.

Crossing the Border: From Raxaul to Birgunj

After arriving in Raxaul, our next destination was Birgunj, a city in Nepal just across the border. Instead of taking any vehicle, we decided to walk from Raxaul to Birgunj, which took us approximately two hours.

Walking across the border was an interesting experience. The surroundings gradually changed, and we could feel the difference in culture, language accents, and environment as we entered Nepal. We finally reached Birgunj at 1:18 PM, ready for the next part of our journey.

The Road Trip to Kathmandu

From Birgunj, we hired a traveler car to go to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. The journey toward Kathmandu was one of the most exciting parts of the trip. Instead of rushing, we decided to enjoy the road trip slowly. Along the way, we stopped at several small regional areas to have some food and snacks.

These small breaks allowed us to appreciate the beauty of the surrounding hills and roads. Because of these enjoyable stops, the journey took a little longer than usual, but it made the trip much more memorable.

Finally, after a safe and pleasant drive, we reached Kathmandu at 6:13 PM.

Exploring Kathmandu Streets

After reaching Kathmandu, we did not immediately rest. Instead, we decided to explore the nearby streets on foot. For around two to three hours, we walked through the lively streets of the city. The atmosphere was vibrant. Small shops, local eateries, and the busy movement of people gave us a glimpse of everyday life in Kathmandu

After exploring for a while, we began searching for a place to stay. Finally, we found a comfortable hotel that seemed perfect for spending the night. After checking in, we had a satisfying dinner and rested for the night, preparing ourselves for the
next day’s exploration.

Visiting the Sacred Pashupatinath Temple

The next morning, we were excited to explore some important places in Kathmandu. While searching on the map, we discovered the famous Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most sacred temples dedicated
to Lord Shiva.

Soon, we started our journey from the hotel toward the temple. When we reached the temple premises, we were deeply impressed by its spiritual atmosphere. The temple complex had several idols of different gods and goddesses, and the environment was filled with devotion and religious chants.

We offered our prayers to Lord Pashupathi and spent time observing the rituals being performed. Some of the priests also shared interesting religious stories and historical facts about the temple. We spent nearly half a day exploring and experiencing the spiritual environment there. It was truly a peaceful and enlightening moment during our trip.

Journey from Kathmandu to Pokhara

After completing our visit to the temple, we left our hotel and prepared for the next destination of our journey—Pokhara, one of the most beautiful cities in Nepal. We hired a cab and began our journey toward Pokhara. The trip took the entire day as the road passed through hills, valleys, and scenic landscapes.

The journey itself was breathtaking, offering views of nature that made the long drive enjoyable. By the time we reached Pokhara, it was already night. Since we were tired from the long journey, we quickly searched for a nearby hotel, checked in, and spent the night resting.

Exploring the Beauty of Pokhara

The next morning, we woke up refreshed and ready to explore the beautiful city of Pokhara. Throughout the day, we visited several famous tourist attractions.

Some of the most memorable places we visited includ

Bindhyabasini —A peaceful temple with a strong

spiritual atmosphere.

Mahendra —A fascinating natural cave filled with

unique rock formations

Dream City—An exciting spot where we enjoyed activities such as paragliding, boating, lotus swing, telescope view, and hanging swing.

Sarangkot—A famous viewpoint known for its stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and landscapes.

Each location offered a different experience, making our day in Pokhara full of adventure, excitement, and beautiful memories.

Returning Home

After spending a wonderful day exploring Pokhara, it was time to return. In the evening, we boarded a bus from Pokhara to Birgunj. Once we arrived in Birgunj, we again walked back to Raxaul, crossing the border just like we had done earlier. Finally, from Raxaul, we boarded a bus to Bettiah, completing our memorable journey.

Conclusion

This trip from Bettiah to Nepal was not just a
journey across places but an experience filled
with adventure, spirituality, and discovery.

From the bustling streets of Kathmandu to the serene landscapes of Pokhara, every moment added a new memory.

Traveling on buses, walking across borders, and exploring cities step by step made the journey even more special. It reminded us that sometimes the most beautiful experiences come from simple and spontaneous travel adventures.
