The Enchanting Akshardham

The Enchanting Akshardham

In New Delhi, the Akshardham mandir is the focal point of the Swaminarayan Akshardham complex. The mandir, which was inaugurated on November 6, 2005, is an attempt to provide God with a home that honors Him. Its artworks reflect transcendent Hindu religious messages, lively prayerful customs, and gorgeous vistas. The temple is a respectful homage to Lord Swaminarayan from 1781 to 1830, as well as Hinduism's incarnation, lords, and great shamans. This temple is constructed without any need for metals. 234 elaborately decorated walls, 9 opulent towers, 20 quadrangle staircases, including 20,000 sculptures of India's Hindu religious figures make up the Akshardham temple. The temple has a height of 141.3 feet, a width of 316 feet, and a length of 356 feet.

Lord Swaminarayan and his holy sequence of gurus - Gunatitanand Swami, Bhagatji Maharaj, Shastriji Maharaj, Yogiji Maharaj, and Pramukh Swami Maharaj - live in the throne room or garbhagruh of the Akshardham temple. As embodiments of Aksharbrahma, the gurus, are God’s supreme workers, and virtues to holiness as well as obedience.
