The Rise of Bihar

The Rise of Bihar

Bihar is well known as the fastest developing state of India. It has a bad history after the independence of India. Bihar is the place from where Mahatma Gandhi started his freedom fight named ‘Satyagraha’. When there was British rule in India then all freedom fighters from different parts of the country were struggling regarding this. And, at last, the British people were ready to free India from their Jurisdiction. But, in place of that, there was a demand for the division of the country into two parts “Hindustan” and “Pakistan”. British people were about to leave after acceptance of this demand of division. At that time, there was a kind of monkey share condition in the entire country.

British rulers were distributing different ranks and positions to Indian people. Most people were gifted with many lands, places, and spaces from the British government at a low rate. Having which Indians were feeling like rich and more powerful to themselves. It was more effective in Bihar because Bihar people were more interested in politics than other states. So after independence, except Bihar other states got overcome quickly with their proper and good works continuously they did everything with great planning and avoidance of show off.

They did their work by supporting each other’s talent so they changed their condition faster. But, in Bihar the thing was reverse. Here, people always wanted to stay in their comfort zone and everyone wanted to show himself in a better position than others. If somebody tried to go ahead with a better condition then others in place of support used to do planning to stop that person because of jealousy. And this jealousy never let overcome the state so today the condition is that Bihar is known as a backward state of the country.

As I said before the Bihar people were more interested in politics so everyone wanted to become a politician. In wish of becoming a politician or rich person, everyone tried to play tricks to earn more money by any method. And everything was possible due to some corrupt politicians. The government that came into power after independence never took any serious step for the development of the state. They did only show off work to make fool to state people.

They are only used to create misconceptions in the hearts and minds of people. To stay in his position for a longer time the leaders played various tricks like, in political interest to sustain reign by keeping the public illiterate and unaware. For this politicians said that education is not necessary for children. At last, everyone has to earn money so they can earn money without study also.

There was a competition for earning more money. Poor people started sending their kids to middle-class families, on the farm of big landowners, in line hotels, and on rich people work place for earning more money. There were schools and colleges but they were not running properly. There were teachers but they were not doing their teaching work properly. Taking advantage of this, private schools started spreading their legs.

The children of the aware home were successfully completing their education in privates for a change of the country because they were able to pay the higher fee of privates.  While the people who were not aware or not able to pay the fee of privates; they were in the race of earning money using their power and strength.

Regarding road works, it was a politician’s opinion that if there will be a large and good road then big vehicles will start running. Road accidents will increase. Children will be unable to play freely. They can be prey to road accidents and can lose their life. So, poor people started to follow their leaders and slowly they forgot their rights. And the money which was coming for the development of the state was going into the pockets of leaders. Rich people also started showing their rude behavior towards poor families mingling with the government.

In this case, some poor people who were interested in the education of their children started making their kids do double work. In the daytime, they send their kids to earn money for their family and at night their kids used to do study work. But it was also not easy for them. The condition of electricity was also not good in Bihar. And rich people had their generators and inverters in their homes. So they use to live easily in their home.

Some local businessman kind people were there who started giving generator connection to families who could afford on some rate for one or two points for lighting bulbs and fans in their home. Rest, who was not able to afford generator connection they were depending on lamp lights. For lighting lamps, kerosene oil was needed. But because of local businessmen, who were giving generator connection, the rate of kerosene oil was also increased. Because of big landlords, in their homes, the kids of the poor families were working. And the rate of wheat and rice was increased.

The education was completely finished in Bihar. Corrupt leaders told poor people that rich people always use to drink and having drugs in their happy and sad moments. So, the business of lickers, cigarettes, and all drug materials picked up speed and poor people started having it quickly. Soon, there was a new trend that having more children and more money is one of the best policies. Everyone started producing more kids for having more money.

If a person is having four kids then they will work in four directions and they will do it only at the age of 10-12 years. Because of this population also increased a lot in Bihar. And feticide also started because they wanted the only boy as a kid, not a girl. It was their view that boys can easily make money and go anywhere and do every kind of work. But girls may be abuse by others. So, if they found that there is a girl in the mother’s womb then they use to kill her by using the abortion method. They only wanted boy kids. Because of this doctor’s business had also increased. They started doing such kinds of jobs.

It was poor people's view that boys will start earning at a small age and make them feel proud. And in this happiness, they will smoke and drink. And it will available to them at low rates. And in the greed of making more money businessmen of drugs started mixing poor quality materials and supply them at a low rate. Which was dangerous for health, having that kind of drink people started losing their lives. Such kind of condition was in Bihar till 2005.

In that situation, people were not able to know their rights. So, they never fought for anything and with a success, the corrupt leaders were ruling the state as they want. The condition was that there was not a good decision-making generation in the state because many people were untouched by their rights in the absence of education. So, few aware people who gave their children a better education in privates started to send them out of state.

Because they had not a better opportunity to give education to their children after the 12th. For further studies, children were sent out and they came back as a "good decision-making generation" who knew their rights well. And that good decision-making generation elected a better leader for their state. In the 2005 election of Chief Minister a new face came out and he was. …

Nitish Kumar”.

He wanted to transform the image of Bihar upon assuming authority On March 1, 1951, he was circumcised. He had seen his homeland struggle with a variety of issues since boyhood and resolved that one day he would alter all. He began his career in this profession and later became a politician in India's state governments. Between 2005 to 2014, and again between 2015 to 2017, he was the Chief Minister of Bihar.

While he was Chief Minister, his democratic programmes paid out, he was used having lowered standards from past authorities. His principal goals included hiring over 100,000 school employees, guaranteeing that medics performed in basic health clinics, electrifying communities, constructing roads, and halving female ignorance. By clamping down on gangsters and increasing the typical Bihari's earnings, he hoped to transform about a violent state.

In comparison to neighboring states, Bihar's overall GDP expansion rate throughout his service as Chief Minister was the strongest. He departed on May 17, 2014, accepting culpability for his major party dismal showing in the 2014 federal polls and Jitan Ram Manjhi took his place. After the civil conflict in Bihar early February 2015, he ascended to power and contested the state-wide polls in November 2015. Upon April 10, 2016, he got chosen nationwide president for their group.

Many leaders, especially Lalu Yadav, Tejaswi Yadav, as well as several have suggested him becoming Indian Prime Minister throughout the impending electorate of 2019, while he has rejected such ambitions. On July 26, 2017, he withdrew as Chief Minister for Bihar because of disagreements with the governing party RJD out over CBI's listing of Tejaswi Yadav, his vice chief minister, including Lalu's son in even an Investigation. Moments afterwards he entered the NDA alliance, that had previously used to be the opponent, and won a minority in the legislature resuming his post as Chief Minister that day after.

Here are some steps were taken by Nitish Kumar which is helpful Rise of Bihar.

The major reason for the lowest literacy rate in Bihar is the Poverty and a rising population. Regarding this, the government has taken strong action against poverty and the rising population. And the government is doing-

1.       There has been increasing in job opportunities in the field of teaching and
2.       The act has passed “Ham Do Hamaare Do” is in motion ‘for controlling the population. It is an example of taking action by the government.

Illiterate people were required to be literate, to become a better next generation. And for this
Bihar government is moving on- Action has taken according to which illiterate old ladies of the village and parents are going to educate and knowing the importance of education “It is running in Bihar now.”

·       Government was supposed to improve the condition of power supply in Bihar. The government did it: the condition of electricity is far better than before. In the previous time, there was only 08 to 10 hr. Electricity in 24hrs. But it is now 16-18hrs in 24 hours. This is an example of improvement. And, the supply is of ‘kerosene oil’, wheat, and rice at a low rate is continue on APL, BPL cards which is very helpful for poor and helpless state people.

·      Government was supposed to start, free of cost education in govt. schools. ‘And the govt. did… All government schools are running well, free of cost, books and copies are available, cycles are distributed to girls, and “Poshak Rashi” is also given to children. These facilities were not available before. It is a good achievement for Bihar.

Conclusion- At the beginning of the story the condition of Bihar was not good but all of a sudden with the effort of some aware people a miracle happened. Those people send their children out of the state and they came back as a good decision-making generation and that generation elected a better leader for their state who changed the condition of the state. The steps he took were interrelated, as it is mentioned before that when India got independence then Indian people were not educated properly and there was a monkey sharing kind of condition in the entire so country. No one was able to have those ranks and positions and they had no idea that what to do with lots of lands and their power. They started the misuse of their power. They did everything they want by hook or by crook. And after the independence of India, everything remained the same not in all states but especially in Bihar because in this state everyone was more interested in politics.

By using their power and policy in the greed of their own rule for a long time they never let overcome the state. And the government that came in power after independence followed the same thing till 2005. But, in 2005 then the government came into power to take some more effective steps. First of all, he increased job opportunities in the field of teaching because the government schools were not running properly in absence of good teachers. The government kept a strong eye on teachers that they are going to school regularly. Children were not going to school daily so govt. kept a camp in a village where illiterate parents and old ladies came to known about the importance of education and why children should go to school. So, children started coming to school but they don’t have enough money for buying books and school uniforms.

Govt. gave them free of cost books and “Poshak Raashi”. They used to work outside in lack of enough food so govt. arranged mid-day meals for children in school so children interact with the school. Girls were not going to school or not coming out from home but when people became able to know their rights with the help of the RTI Act which was regarding “Right To Information” automatically they came to know that every religion and cast are equal and there is no difference in boys and girls both can share equal rights and power in society. So, the girls also started coming to school. Govt. also gave cycles for coming school.

People who were not able to feed their family because of poverty and more strength in the family, they were given a message “Hum do Hamaare do” according to an act regarding population. And govt. also gave them wheat, rice at a low rate. Due to less electricity children were unable to study at home at night so govt. gave “Kerosene oil” at a low rate that children can do study at night. Govt. also improved the power system; in previous times there was only 08 to 10hr power supply in 24hrs. But later it was 16-18hrs in 24hrs. Roads were also not good due to which teachers were feeling difficulty to reach the schools. So, govt. also repaired the roads. And in this way, Bihar grew up in India.

India Gate: The Pride Of India

The 42-meter-tall India Gate, which resembles the "Arc de Triomphe," is located in the midst of a crossroads in New Delhi. It honours the 70,000 Indian soldiers who died while serving in the British Army throughout World War I, almost identically to its French equivalent. More over 13,516 British and Indian soldiers who died in the Northwestern Frontier during the Afghan War of 1919 have their names inscribed on its wall. His Royal Majesty, the Duchy of Connaught, lay the cornerstone for the Edwin Lutyens-designed India Gate in 1921. 10 years afterwards, Lord Irwin, the regent at the time, presented the memorial to the country. Beside India Gate, you can see Param Yodha Sthal too. Amar Jawan Jyoti, some other monument, was added considerably later, after India gained independence. Underneath the arch, an everlasting light shines day and night to serve as a constant reminder to the men who lost their lives fighting in the Indo-Pakistan Conflict in December 1971. The whole arch...
